    MANGAING PARTNER

    Rear Admiral (retired) Scott Giberson is the is the Chief Executive Officer of AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, a novel healthcare support company that is physician-owned and led by experienced health and operations professionals. AMI delivers tailored healthcare solutions and services to all levels of government, international organizations, humanitarian aid and the private sector worldwide.

    He came to AMI as a uniquely experienced health leader. He retired after 26 years of service as a two-star Admiral and assistant U.S. Surgeon General. He is well versed in the delivery of care in expeditionary environments and has successfully led organizations through global and domestic health crises. At AMI, he continues as part of the Executive team as the CEO, to help lead the management team, strategy, culture, and global client relations.

    RADM (ret.) Giberson held executive positions as the acting Deputy Surgeon General of the United States, Director of Commissioned Corps Headquarters, Director of the Indian Health Service (IHS) National HIV/AIDS Program, and Senior Public Health Advisor for Pacific Command’s Center of Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance. He also served as overall Commander of the Corps’ Ebola Response in West Africa, tasked directly from the White House. RADM (ret.) Giberson was originally trained as a clinician and held dual licensure as a pharmacist and clinician, providing care at IHS facilities.

    MANAGING PARTNER

    Mike Shvenderman is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Akicita Federal, LLC, a Tribally Owned SBA 8(a) government contracting company specializing in healthcare staffing, construction, and operational support services. Under his leadership, Akicita Federal has rapidly scaled to more than $28 million in prime federal awards in just three years, supporting over 25 Indian Health Service (IHS) contracts nationwide as well as Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) projects.

    With a strong background in federal contracting, proposal development, and operational growth, Mike has built Akicita Federal into a trusted partner for federal agencies requiring mission-critical staffing and program management. He has extensive expertise in developing winning RFP responses, structuring IDIQ and BPA contracts, and aligning subcontractor and partner strategies for maximum client value. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing Akicita Federal’s reputation for rapid staffing deployment, FAR/DFAR compliance, and “white-glove” client service.
